Reddit is a link-sharing site, similar to Digg from a few years back. People post links, and other people vote on them to show whether or not they like them. Comments are also voted on similarly.
Backup[edit]
Like 4chan's /b/, Reddit is full of retards who can provide a decent backup force if they feel like it. Unlike /b/, however, the people on Reddit are moralfags and wannabe internet superheroes. They won't join you in DDoSing a website, but they'll probably do something if your target is a bad guy in their eyes.
Use Reddit wisely. It's a mainstream site, so any major action done by them is guaranteed to make the news somewhere. The raid might spiral into a moral crusade, changing the primary motive from lulz to "LETS CHANGE THE WORLD GUISE!!"
Trolling[edit]
You can troll in the comments for some minor lulz. You'll get a few replies before the hivemind downvotes your comment into oblivion, and some people might screencap your post to whine about it on Tumblr.
